Project Architect / Lead Architect Public Sector Projects: Civic, Corrections, Education, Healthcare, Justice and Public Safety Architectural Design and Planning Job Title: Project Architect / Lead Architect (Public Sector Architectural Projects) Office Location: Sacramento, CA Highly respected and numerous award-winning full-service Architectural Design firm specializing in the design and development of public sector projects actively seeks skilled, experienced, and collaborative Project Architect / Lead Architect to join our dynamic downtown Sacramento office. Project Architect with prior architectural background and experience pertaining to public sector building projects such as civic, corrections, education, healthcare, justice or public safety projects are preferred (not required). Project Architect / Lead Architect Role and Responsibilities: Oversee the architectural design and preparation of architectural construction documents and contract documents through supervision and coordination of the architectural work including in-house architectural/administrative staff as well as consultants Reviews architectural project documents for quality control Maintains architectural project records Review architectural projects for compliance with zoning and building codes, regulations and standards Process architectural documents through review agencies Work with clients in the development of the architectural design and project documentation Provide architectural design information for construction cost estimates Perform construction support and contract administration Project Architect / Lead Architect Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: Ideal Project Architect / Lead Architect will have prior architectural background and experience pertaining to public sector building projects such as civic, corrections, education, healthcare, justice or public safety building projects (Preferred but not required). Bachelors degree in Architecture, Environmental Design, Interior Architecture or closely related field is preferred (degree can be substituted my equivalent practical architectural industry work experience) Ideal Project Architect / Lead Architect will have a minimum five (5+) years of architectural industry work experience working within an architectural office environment. Proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit is preferred Ideal Project Architect / Lead Architect professionals will have skills and experience overseeing assigned architectural projects from conceptual, schematic, and design development phase through construction document production, consultant coordination, client interaction and completion. Must have a passion for architectural design, and technical architectural knowledge coupled with leadership ability to direct and coordinate the work of the architectural project production team.
