SENIOR MECHANICAL COST ESTIMATOR " Los Angeles, CA 90045 Mechanical HVAC, Piping and Plumbing Estimating Position: Senior Mechanical Cost Estimator (Timberline, OST or MC2 Proficient) Location: Must work Onsite at LAX Airport - Los Angeles, CA 90045 Timing: Immediate hire Duration: Full Time Long Term Hire Compensation: $75 to $92 per hour DOE + full employee benefits The successful Senior Mechanical Cost Estimator is responsible for all aspects of estimating the most complex and large-scale mechanical hvac, piping, and plumbing projects ($100MM+), including pre-construction, hard bids, negotiated bids, budgets, general conditions, systems studies and comparisons, value engineering, subcontractor relations and staying abreast of industry developments and best practices applicable to mechanical cost estimating. Qualifications: Bachelor or Masters Degree, preferably in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field. Excellent communications skills, and the ability to thrive within a team-oriented environment. Must have a minimum of 10 years of large program and project mechanical construction cost estimating /scheduling experience. Past cost estimating experience working on the construction general contracting and/or vertical mechanical contracting sides of the industry Proficient computer skills. Working knowledge/proficiency of Excel spread sheets, and Word processing programs. Experience in a design-build delivery environment Experience with estimating software such as Timberline, OST, and MC2. Working knowledge of Building Information Modeling systems (BIM). Understanding of the influence of dynamic SCAL market conditions on pricing.
