Clark Schools provide transformative education in a caring, therapeutic day school setting where children with emotional and behavioral issues re-engage in learning and develop the positive behaviors necessary to transition back to a more traditional school setting. It's one of the most successful programs of its kind.Under the direction of the EBC School Clinical Manager, the clinician serves as the primary therapist for each students' individual and family mental health treatment plan. The therapist works with the classroom teams in developing and implementing an integrated and comprehensive treatment program for up to 12 students.Responsibilities:Serve as a primary therapist and clinical case manager for each child and their family, and provides guidance in the mental health domain as a member of each students' interdisciplinary team.Lead weekly group therapy for classroom studentsConsult with the school Clinical Manager on clinical treatment plans and when mental health emergencies arise.Develop, monitor and document each student's therapeutic IEP goals in consultation with the team and with school clinical manager.Complete initial intake evaluation reports, outcome evaluation forms and clinical progress notes and reports regarding therapeutic services delivered.Plan and co-lead (with another EBC clinician) at least one evening parent workshop on a relevant topic as part of yearlong parent workshop series.Attends weekly therapist and staff meetings as well as classroom team meetings as necessary; keeps classroom team appraised of pertinent information regarding the individual and family therapies, within professional limits of confidentiality and appropriateness.Attend each child's IEP meetings and presents therapeutic IEP goals as well as review students' progress on these goals. Reviews child's mental health status and presents the mental health component of the intervention plan.Schedule and attend regular weekly individualized supervisory meeting with the school Clinical ManagerPerforms other related duties as required and assigned.Qualifications:License eligible MSW, MFTi or APCC.Registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) is required.Experience working as part of a school multidisciplinary team preferredStrong knowledge of the individual, group, and family therapy modalities in youth and family work.Experience with applying therapeutic interventions utilizing a family systems approachKnowledge providing therapy to children who have serious emotional disturbances including but not limited to: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Anxiety, Mood Disorders, Attachment Disorder and PTSD and learning disabilities.Competitive Benefits:We value our employees' time and efforts.
