Join our team and make a difference! Here at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, we are seeking a full-time Clinician (FNP/PA) to work at our Capitol Plaza Health Center. Services provided at the Capitol Plaza Health Center include a range of reproductive and general health services including: Family Planning, Breast & Cervical screening, and Teen Clinic. Offering $5,000 Sign-on Bonus! DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES (as appropriate to work site and scope of services) ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Reviews & interprets the medical and social history of both male and female reproductive health patients; Performs appropriate medical screening procedures/exams for both male and female patients; Interprets laboratory data, orders additional laboratory investigations when indicated and ensures appropriate follow-up; Provides contraceptive methods: o contraceptives that are self-administered (no procedure required); o Provides/oversees contraceptive injections. Provides emergency contraception; Performs medical assessment and management of basic STI and genito-urinary conditions for both male and female patients; Provides premenopausal and menopausal services; Provides medical management for complications related to abortion and sterilization. Provides medication abortion, as indicated. Acts as a medical consultant to clinic staff; Manages emergency situations in the center; Participates in staff meetings relating to center management and provides staff training in current medical procedures which are relevant to reproductive health; Contributes to achieving health center productivity goals. Demonstrates PPMM customer service standards; Assists in other areas of center support work as required. NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Participates in after-hours coverage; Precepts students/residents; Works with/supervises volunteers/interns as applicable; Performs other duties as assigned; QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to perform the duties described above. A typical means of acquiring those abilities would be: Graduation from an accredited FNP or Primary Care PA program for comprehensive primary care centers; graduation from an accredited Womens Health NP or CNM program is acceptable for limited primary care centers. Current State NP/PA/CNM license; Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification. REQUIREMENTS: Willingness and ability to learn new skills appropriate to PPMM clinical duties; Strong customer service orientation. Available to cover at least one evening clinic per week and one Saturday clinic per month, as needed by center; Current experience using computer and mouse. Experience using a Microsoft Windows based program and willing to learn new computer skills.
