Job Description Job Description Primary Job Title: Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative I Alternate / Related Job Titles Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) Phlebotomist I Clinical Phlebotomist Patient Intake & Phlebotomy Representative Location & Onsite Flexibility Santa Rosa, CA — Onsite Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 5 months Start: As Soon As Possible Pay Rate: $22.90 – $28.30 per hour Purpose and Scope The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the front-facing representative for patients while performing high-quality blood collection and specimen processing. This role creates an atmosphere of trust and professionalism by explaining procedures clearly and performing phlebotomy in a safe, accurate, and patient-centered manner . The PSR I demonstrates leadership behaviors with a strong focus on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Under the direction of the Area Supervisor, the PSR I will: Perform daily activities accurately and on time following established practices and procedures. Maintain a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment . Collect and process both clinical and forensic specimens with confidence and precision. Prepare specimens appropriately for laboratory testing. Maintain required records, documentation, and data entry with a high degree of accuracy. Promote a positive company image to patients, clients, coworkers, and the public. Demonstrate sensitivity to confidentiality and patient privacy at all times. Schedule & Work Details Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:45 PM 3-week Saturday rotation Minimum of 3 weeks training in Sonoma or Healdsburg Flexibility required, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed Experience and Required Skills Required Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience High school diploma or equivalent Strong keyboarding and data entry skills Ability to deliver error-free work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently with minimal supervision California CPT certification (required) Preferred 1 year of phlebotomy experience Pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy experience Customer service experience in a retail or service environment Medical assistant or paramedic training Additional Strong communication and interpersonal skills Professional demeanor with a patient-first mindset Work Environment Onsite clinical setting Direct patient interaction Adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards Benefits Medical Insurance Vision Insurance Dental Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan About the Company A leading provider of diagnostic information services empowering healthier lives.
