Registered Nurse (RN) | Surgical Intensive Care Unit Location: Carmichael, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,618 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/17/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: SICU/TICU (Intensive Care Unit) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS Must-Have: Strong background with surgical and trauma patients Description: Candidates must have experience with surgical patients, including those recovering from vascular, thoracic, and open belly surgeries. Experience with trauma cases is preferred. The unit has a patient ratio of 1:1 to 2. Nurses will use Cerner as the electronic medical record system. Charge nurses do not typically take patients but may assist with break relief. Nurse aides are available as safety attendants. Weekend and holiday rotations are required. Scrubs must be navy, with under shirts being navy, white, or black. Nurses must be able to read and interpret EKG strips and manage patients on ventilators. There is direct in-house availability of hospitalists or intensivists. Interdisciplinary rounds are performed on every patient during the day. Floating to other facilities may occur, with travelers being the first to float. Floor-specific orientation will include 1 to 2 days with a preceptor. Common diagnoses include postoperative recoveries, trauma cases, and common line insertions. Cancellations may occur up to 4 shifts during the assignment duration.
