Doctor of Medicine | Obstetrics and Gynecology Location: Merced, CA Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Exciting Opportunity for Experienced OB Hospitalists: Join Our Team as a Locum Physician in Merced, CA Are you a dedicated OB Hospitalist seeking a rewarding locum position that offers competitive pay and professional growth? We are looking for a skilled physician to provide exceptional obstetric care in a dynamic hospital setting. This role is ideal for professionals committed to delivering high-quality maternal and neonatal care, ensuring positive outcomes for patients and their families. In this position, you will handle OB triage, deliveries, emergency gynecological cases, and consults in a fast-paced environment. Typical cases involve 1-4 deliveries per shift, with NICU Level II support available. Proficiency in EPIC EMR, along with strong clinical skills, will enable you to perform duties efficiently and effectively. Your expertise will contribute significantly to patient care and team collaboration. Required Skills: Valid medical license and current DEA certification Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology Proven experience in OB hospitalist services, including deliveries and triage Proficiency with EPIC EMR or similar electronic medical record systems Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Nice to Have Skills: Experience in high-volume obstetric units Neonatal resuscitation certification (NRP) Knowledge of hospital protocols and emergency procedures Bilingual abilities in Spanish or other languages advantageous Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution Minimum of 2 years’ post-residency experience in obstetrics Prior locum or hospitalist experience preferred Other Requirements: Availability to start on 12/31/2025 Commitment to adhering to hospital policies and safety standards Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and nights if needed Willingness to travel reimbursements when applicable This is an excellent opportunity to earn a highly competitive hourly rate of $234.00 while enjoying the flexibility of a locum position.
