Overview
Mercy Medical Group (MMG), a multi-specialty group with more than 500 healthcare providers in the Sacramento region, is looking to add a physician to our busy Occupational Medicine Department at our Big Horn Clinic in Elk Grove, CA.Among the services provided at MMG Occupational Medicine are the treatment of work-related injuries such as lacerations, multiple body strains, fractures, acute eye injuries and foreign bodies, etc. We also provide pre-employment physical examinations, DOT and Hazmat physical examinations, physician certified MRO services for employment drug testing, onsite audiometry and pulmonary function testing, and mask-fit testing. We provide fit for duty examinations as well as employer requested recommendations on ergonomics, chemical exposures etc., among additional services.MMG Occupational Medicine provides evidence-based medical treatment in a timely and effective manner while remaining cost effective with work related injuries for both prompt return to work and closure of cases. Responsibilities
Patient Care:Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.Communication:Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.Provide clear and concise medical information.Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.Documentation:Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.Diagnostic Procedures:Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.Perform procedures as neededCollaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.Team Collaboration:Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.Quality Improvement:Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.Compliance:Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.Continuous Learning:Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices.Participate in ongoing medical education and training.Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications
A valid and unrestricted California medical licenseBoard eligible or board certified in in OM/IM/FP/EM: UC trainedCompletion of an accredited post-graduate training programExperience in worker compensation services and speficif note reporting, PR-2/PR-4s, etc.DOT Certification
Pay Range
$132.00 - $139.00 /hour
