ELECTRICAL DESIGN INTERN / JUNIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER Facilities Electrical Engineering Power and Lighting Consulting Services Sacramento, CA Title: Electrical Design Intern / Junior Electrical Engineer Location: Sacramento, California 95825 Job Description: Sacramento-based provider of exceptional electrical engineering and lighting design services for public and private sector clients, actively seeks Electrical Design Intern / Junior Electrical Engineer to join our thriving Sacramento, CA office. Electrical Design Intern / Junior Electrical Engineer Qualifications and Experience Needed: Ideal candidates will be currently enrolled in an accredited electrical engineering program or recent graduate with a bachelors degree in electrical engineering (Highly Preferred). Will also consider electrician or electrical contractor with high level of coachability and strong eagerness to learn. Proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM and/or desire to learn. Must have strong interest Good written and verbal communication skills are a must. Must be willing to work full-time during the summer/winter break Must be able to work part-time during the school year Electrical Design Intern / Junior Electrical Engineer Responsibilities: As an electrical engineering intern, collaborate with senior electrical team members on electrical designs. Assist electrical engineers and designers in creating drawings and documents to meet project scope and code requirements necessary to complete assigned projects. Assist electrical engineers and designers on field investigations to gather project information. Review work for accuracy and satisfaction of project design requirements and drawing standards. Assist in production of electrical project drawings from design concept through construction documents (power, lighting, voice/data, fire/security alarm and audio/video communications). Print, assemble and file drawings to meet production needs. Maintain communication with firms project team leaders and designers to coordinate project planning and design requirements. Review design and/or construction documents for accuracy and compliance prior to review by project designer. Follow technical production standards and maintain the projects production within schedule. Maintain electronic library of CAD masters and electronic files.
