Our project specialties include general municipal infrastructure improvements, transportation improvements, pedestrian and bicycle facilities design, utility relocation design and coordination, sanitary sewer design, drainage improvements, and waterline design. We are also a leader in hydrology/hydraulic studies and storm water quality treatment. Associate Civil Engineer Job Responsibilities Include: - Design and prepare civil engineering plans - Prepare civil engineering project technical reports - Review civil engineering project design criteria - Gather civil engineering data and design information needed for project design - Perform field work to collect data and verify existing design conditions - Perform engineering design calculations directed by senior engineers - Oversee and review work of staff civil engineers - Prepare project quantities and estimates - Back check plans and design calculations - Attend project meetings - Coordinate design with members of the design team as required - Coordinate with public and utility agencies - Assist in research for potential project pursuits Associate Civil Engineer Skills and Experience Needed: - Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with or without employer sponsorship - Five plus (5+) years of civil engineering industry professional work experience - B.S. or M.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field - Engineer-In-Training, EIT/FE certification and/or Professional Registration, Civil Engineer (is preferred but not required) - Working knowledge of MicroStation and AutoCAD (Civil 3D and ArcGIS is a plus) - Past work experience developing horizontal and vertical highway/roadway alignments, construction plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates - Experience working with survey data, traffic data, state and local standards, utility relocations, signing, pavement delineation, and construction staging - Experience with ADA assessment and design of public rights-of-way - Experience in drainage and storm water treatment design and permitting - Excellent analytical skills - Excellent written and oral communication skills OUR FIRM: Top tier multidisciplinary civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, water resources, and environmental compliance consulting services firm providing communities throughout California with innovative solutions to large scale public sector clients and projects.
