Environmental is in search of a Mid to Senior level Project
Scheduler in San Jose, CA (3 days/week in office) . This project is
LONG TERM (3 years). Schedule will be full time at 40 hours/week.
Extensive P6 experience is required. The candidate will work with
program teams to oversee cost, schedule, and performance progress,
and to identify and track schedule dependencies and relationships.
Strong verbal and written skills will be necessary to communicate
and manage client expectations successfully. Understanding of
schedule interdependencies and Work Breakdown Structure
relationships to program management is a critical skill for this
position. Knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems and
Primavera, are required. Knowledge of other tools, such as Insight
and MPM, are a plus. The candidate will work with multiple projects
and have daily interactions with technical SMEs, stakeholders, and
others in a dynamic team environment. The candidate will create
status updates, risk analyses, and executive briefings and make
recommendations for schedule improvement. The candidate will
initiate baseline project schedules that comply with the client
Program's Objectives; and monitor and communicate to all levels of
the program team and stakeholders the programs execution towards
milestones, key events, and significant accomplishments. Job
Duties: Develop, update, and maintain project schedules in P6
Identify major milestones, critical approvals, and long lead
procurement items. Determine reasonable schedule logic and
constraints based on discussion with owners and/or teams. Assist
with development of the construction three-week look-ahead
schedule(s) with manpower loading, incorporating construction
strategy input Develop and maintain spreadsheets for various phases
of construction projects Communicate schedule status to management
regularly Interact with engineering discipline leads & construction
managers to understand issues and conflicts impacting schedule
Suggest corrective actions and/or develop recovery plans when
delays are anticipated or occur. Evaluate critical and near
critical path activity sequences. Requirements: 5-10 years minimum
planning/scheduling experience on public agency infrastructure
construction projects. Experience in construction as a CM or
contractor's scheduler Strong understanding of Critical Path Method
concepts and resource loaded scene analysis Proficiency in
Primavera (P6) Earned Value Management Knowledge of Schedule Risk
Assessment (SRA) Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelors
degree in a related business or technical discipline, or the
equivalent combination of education, technical training, or
work/military experience. Experience: 10 years of experience in
developing and maintaining project baseline schedules utilizing
Oracle Primavera P6. 5 years Experience on large public agency
infrastructure construction projects, with Transit projects
preferred Change management, claims support, and business process
improvement experience highly desirable Salary & Benefits:
