Pay Range: $100,000–$130,000 per year Year-End Bonus Location: Fremont, CA Industry: Commercial Framing / Carpentry Job Overview Roof Structures Inc. (RSI), a leader in California’s commercial framing and carpentry sector, is seeking a detail-driven Commercial Framing Estimator to join our Sales & Client Relations team. This position requires a strong background in wood framing systems, blueprint reading, and the ability to use industry-standard estimating software. You’ll be responsible for reviewing project drawings, collaborating with contractors and suppliers, and delivering accurate, timely estimates that help win work and drive company success. Learn more at www.roofstructures.com Key Responsibilities Review architectural/structural drawings and specifications to develop accurate material takeoffs and labor estimates Analyze framing systems and interpret construction documents Manage RFIs (Requests for Information) and RFSs (Requests for Substitution) Coordinate with steel joist suppliers and general contractors Upload, distribute, and track project drawings and updates Review addenda and incorporate changes into existing bids Utilize On-Screen Takeoff and similar programs to quantify board footage and estimate by BF/HR Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to align on scope, budget, and feasibility Qualifications 5 years of experience in construction estimating (wood framing preferred) Proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff, BuildingConnected, Procore, Microsoft Office, and PDF markup tools Strong understanding of lumber measurements (board footage, BF/HR) Ability to read and interpret construction documents and shop drawings High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-starter comfortable working independently and in a collaborative environment Benefits Health & Wellness: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability Insurance, HSA Compensation & Retirement: Weekly Pay Cycle, 401(k) with Company Matching Work-Life Balance: Paid Holidays, Vacation, and Sick Leave Professional Growth: Paid Training, Certifications, Mentorship Programs Tools & Perks: Tech Package (smartphone or tablet), Company Events, Annual Trips Schedule Full-Time: Monday–Friday Hours: Standard business hours, with flexibility depending on project timelines Location Primary Worksite: Onsite in Fremont, CA 94538 Applicants must live locally or be willing to relocate prior to starting work.
