Ripple has an opening for you as the Manager, A/V Collaboration
Engineer!As the Manager of A/V Collaboration Engineering at Ripple,
you will play a vital role in crafting the way our employees
collaborate and communicate across different locations. From
designing and implementing innovative audiovisual solutions to
solving and maintaining existing systems, you'll be the driving
force behind crafting immersive and flawless meeting experiences.
With your passion for groundbreaking technology, you'll work
alongside dedicated professionals, using your technical expertise
to optimize collaboration tools and systems.Join us in our San
Francisco office, working with the Director of IT, and be part of a
team that enables efficiency and empowers employees to reach new
heights of success!What you'll do:
- Develop and implement a global AV strategy in line with
Ripple's changing requirements. Focus on scalability, reliability,
security, and user experience in hybrid work settings.
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Leading, mentoring, and
managing a team of A/V professionals, fostering a culture of
excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Complex AV Systems Design and Implementation: You will
architect, design, document, and oversee the implementation of
advanced AV solutions for conference rooms, meeting spaces, and
collaboration hubs, integrating with existing IT
infrastructure.
- Vendor Management and Procurement: Handling relationships with
AV vendors, negotiating contracts, and supervising the procurement
of AV equipment and services for cost-effectiveness and
quality.
- Event Technology Leadership: Provide strategic and technical
leadership for high-profile internal events, ensuring flawless
execution of audiovisual components for both on-site and virtual
audiences.
- Integration with Core Platforms: Ensure seamless integration of
AV systems with core collaboration platforms such as Neat, Zoom
(Rooms, Webinars, Phone), RingCentral, Google Workspace, and other
relevant technologies.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the AV budget, ensuring
responsible allocation of resources and ROI.
- Project Management: Lead and manage complex AV projects from
inception to completion, including defining scope, timelines,
resources, and communication plans.
- Problem Resolution: Serve as the ultimate point for complex AV
issues, providing expert-level troubleshooting and strategic
solutions.
- Collaboration with Workplace and IT Teams: Work closely with
Workplace Services, IT, and Internal Comms teams to ensure cohesive
and integrated technology solutions.
- Documentation and Training: Manage the establishment and upkeep
of detailed AV system documentation, training materials, and
knowledge bases for both the AV team and end-users.What you'll
bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Information Technology,
or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in audiovisual systems
design, integration, and support, with at least 3+ years in a
leadership or senior technical role.
- Deep technical expertise in complex AV systems, including
advanced A/V equipment (e.g., Biamp, Tricasters, Dante), video
processing and distribution, control systems (e.g., Crestron,
Extron), and unified communications technologies.
- Expert-level knowledge of and experience with Zoom (Rooms,
Webinars, Phone) administration, configuration, and troubleshooting
at an enterprise scale.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and its impact
on AV systems performance.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to foster effective
communication across verious cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams,
fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Exceptional project management skills with a proven track
record of successfully delivering complex AV projects on time and
within budget.
- Proficiency with project management and ticketing systems
(e.g., Jira, Confluence, Asana, Freshservice).
- Experience with conducting detailed site surveys and developing
comprehensive AV design documentation (drawings, schematics,
BOMs).
- CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification or higher
is highly preferred.
- Experience in a high-growth technology company is a plus.For
positions that will be based in CA, the annual salary range for
this position is below. Actual salaries may vary based on numerous
factors including, among other things, an individual applicant's
experience and qualifications for the position. This range does not
include equity or additional compensation, such as bonuses or
commissions.CA Annual Base Salary Range$144,000 - $161,999 USDWHO
